I’ve been using mobile data to complete reviews away from home for some time and the data usage is insignificant, i’d give a rough estimate of some 20-30MB per month at most. By comparison listening to an audio stream at 128kbit/s can eat up a hundred megs in less than two hours.

I do use the audio during my reviews and it still doesn't really cause a dramatic increase in data usage.Slightly off-topic, but in Canada I'm with WIND and have "unlimited" data - The first 10 GBs are at full speed (but my phone is 3G, so whoops! I need a new phone), then the speed get's cut to 1/4 or less of that after that. I've never even used 1 GB, however. Closest I've gotten in a month is halfway there. I'm on wifi almost all the time. My plan is $35/$40 before tax, $45.20 after. The newer plans "unlimited" data caps the speed out after 5GBs. There is a back-to-school plan right now similar to my own for the same amount... but I have the better, 4-year-old version.christiaaan said...I too have unlimited 4G LTE :P Living in the USA, T-mobile <3hdloader11 said... Just get unlimited data, its super convenient! 便利! I basically have internet everywhere I go now thanks to unlimited data.
Is your unlimited data plan with full speed? What country is that and how much does it cost? Sounds too good to be true. :D
Forgot to answer cost, I pay $35 USD a month.
WK Mobile doesn't let me really do reviews or lessons - the Wanikani website portion of it hasn't worked. But it does tell me when I have reviews and shows me the oldest/newest/best/worst kanji in the "stats" page. So it's still useful anyways.
