How many lessons per set are YOU set to?

So, what’s your lesson batch size?

Personally, I go with 3. It makes doing lessons like popcorn. If I’m sitting down to do some, it becomes far easier to do a bunch more without really giving much thought to it. It also allows me to get lessons done more easily on brief walks between classes and the like. I definitely hit more 0/0 stretches since making the switch.

5, because then I can do lessons in groups of 5, 10, 20, and round numbers are mandatory.

Admittedly, when I’m sitting to do lessons, I tend to do them in groups of 15 or 30, so I get where you’re coming from.

I’m asking about the size of the batches. If you haven’t changed them, it’s set to 5. That means it teaches you 5 new lessons in a row before quizzing you on them, at which point they go into your review queue.

I do 5 since it works well, but I occasionally fiddle with the batch size to get all the radicals without any new kanji.

I wanted to get 20 lessons per session but have a larger size, so I went for 7 because 3*7=21. Works well enough for me

It varies, so I haven’t voted.

These days, I often do lessons in sets of 3/3/6 in consecutive hours, but since I have to wind down due to something happening at the end of May, I’ve switched to just doing a block of five per day, which might turn into three per day as the thing draws nearer.

I might set it to a single block of 8 or 10 in early June and just stick with that to the end of the year, or do 5/5. Who knows?

Not that it has occurred to me (which is what I voted for) or that it felt right, just that I didn’t really care. Either way, I used to do around 20 or 25 a day.

Oh wow, I didn’t think 4 would do so poorly. Usually I do 2 x 4, or 3 x 4.

I do 3 (when I’m scared) or 10 (when I’m determined).

I have it at 9, because larger batches makes it easier to spot if I didn’t learn somethig properly, and 9 just works well for me.

I never bothered with the settings. It was 5, but I just changed it to 10.

I used to have it set to 10 but eventually it became a slog trying to do lessons. This way I can do 5 lessons, maybe take a few minute break and easily get back into it. It also helps to solidify my memory of the lessons I get since I’m not trying to memorize so many things at once.

Me too! Most days I do three batches of 4.

i leave it at 5, not that it matters since i always do all available lessons in one sitting anyway.

I have it set to 6. This gives me the flexibility to adjust the number of lessons per day if necessary without creating a huge difference, while still being large enough that when I cycle through the lessons pre-quiz I have to work a little to remember them.

Honestly though, I just changed it from 5 when I was fiddling round with the settings. I quite like the multiples of 6 and I just haven’t bothered to change it again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I personally set it to 7. When it was at 5 I used to do my lessons quickly, recall easily the reading and meaning through the first lesson but then after a few hours i’d eventually forget some of the new kanjis or vocab. With 7 it put extra effort into the learning and i noticed that i do remember better my new lessons now.

For most of my time on WK, I’ve had it set to 5. There wasn’t a reason to change it. Then, somewhere in the 30s I think, I decided to play around with it and set it to 6. It worked well for a while, but then life became too hectic somewhere near the end of the 40s and I found I was having trouble remembering all 6 lessons through to Guru.

I accidentally clicked 9 :frowning: Add me to the 5s!
