it’s not a joke, it’s an actual fact that works as a mnemonic as well

also I’m Jewish and rather P.C. myself

“Jew” was actually the old mnemonic for じゅう before the recent overhaul. They decided to make things less controversial(?) with the overhaul. They also got rid of Joseph Stalin as the mnemonic for じょう.

It’s super childish, but I always laugh thinking of some funny mixup cause by じゅうご or ごじゅう

Even post radical overhaul, every time I see じょう I mentally replace whatever the new mnemonic is with Joseph Stalin. It’s just more memorable to me.

I did this when talking to my host family once :sob:

Christianity suddenly seems a whole heap more efficient - Matthew 18:20 (Jesus said) “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them” :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s ten 十

There’s something inherently fun about disrespecting an old dead asshole by making him the butt of jokes for education purposes.

My current feeling is your profile picture for not getting it on my own.

Actually, I almost got offended, but then remembered that we are talking about Stalin. There are a lot of people here who would beat up for insulting him, though.

It took me awhile to get it too
