Good Progress?

Hi all,

I just got to level 3 in a little under a month. I am enjoying this program and wanted to know if it would be possible for me to advance to level 10 by the end of the year.

Thanks

Definitely possible :slightly_smiling_face:
Theoretically you can finish Wanikani in under a year. Most people don’t have that time though, lol. If you want to set a nice goal for yourself, level 10 before 2021 sounds very reachable :heart:
And congrats on level 3! 鰐蟹へようこそ :crabigator:

It’s possible, and a nice goal to set for yourself, I think. You could take a little over a week per level.

I’m a graduate student with a lot of free time because of covid so that’s why I kind of decided to take up Japanese right now lol but thank you! I’m really looking forward to advancing. I’m already able to read a lot of the beginner Kanji I encounter in my grammar books.

Definitely possible, even at a fairly modest rate that should be doable, if you’re doing your vocabulary lessons regularly

The best progress is a) continual, and b) makes you feel good about what you’ve achieved. Don’t get too bogged down with all the levels and numbers, unless you’re on a strict timeline

That said, passing 7 more levels in 2-ish months is something many users are able to achieve!

You should be able to do a level in 7-10 days if you follow a regular schedule. There’s around 100 days left till 2021, so you can aim to level up around 10 times.
