Topic says it all - wouldn’t it be a nice option to have to possibility to set all the English text in the sample sentences to be blurred. That way the user can try to translate it before clicking / hovering the blurred text.
It works in the forum, so why not implement in the main app?
Example;
日本酒はあまりすきではないんです。
I don’t really like Japanese alcohol.

While it may be entirely possible to do in WaniKani, the fact that it works in the forums doesn’t really say anything at all. The forums are Discord-powered, WaniKani is not.

Why do they have to be so similar, though? 
I put together something that emulates the forum blur as a Firefox Add on / Chrome Add on:

I only implemented the blurring on reviews, but if there are other spots that would be helpful let me know.
