DLPT test - anyone?

Just wanted to pass on that I scored a “2” in Reading in my DLPT having completed WaniKani level 15 PLUS 165 additional most common kanji that had come up in class. We completed Genki I & II, and most of Quartet I. I did not learn every single Genki or Quartet Kanji (but probably close to it).
I also use Ringotan to practice writing, for a total of 692 Kanji (including the 527 from WaniKani through level 15).
I also think I got some points from lucky guesses on the harder questions - there were a number of more difficult questions that I really didn’t understand what was going on.
I’ll keep plugging along here in WaniKani!

Does anyone else have DLPT experience to share, particularly if you have also taken JLPT around the same time? I’m curious about how they line up. Based on the practice tests and materials we have been doing, I think I could definitely pass N4, and probably (maybe?) pass N3.

Never heard of DLPT

Do you mean JLPT?

That would be Defense Language Proficiency Test. It uses the ILR scale, IIRC.

Yes, DLPT is scored on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale:

Interagency Language Roundtable Language Skill Level Descriptions

It’s been used by U.S. Government language schools, for all languages, for more than 50 years.
