I know this is random and all, but i got genuinely curious
What is Deidara (dude on the left) saying?
Hmm, I’m not the best at reading comprehension, I’ll admit right off the bat.
I think, read literally, it means “Art is the most beautiful thing” but I’m probably missing the fact that it’s an expression or idiom… or some important context, hehe.
I’m just moving this over to ‘Japanese language’ btw, as you’re likely to get more answers - not everyone checks Campfire
Oh right . . .
I should have realised this was actually a japanese language question sooner XDD
thank you so much!
No worries, we’ve got a lot of managa readers here who are better placed to answer this than me ^-^
一瞬の美 is something that is beautiful but only lasts a moment. The opposite would be 永遠の美 or 永久の美
and what was before it was 芸術
WHICH IS ART!
YASSSSSS
and うえ is Deidara’s signature “hmmm”
so meaning altogether is around “art thats beautiful lasts only a moment”
Omg i feel so happy . . .
Thank you so much!
Oh, were you literally asking what the kanji were?
I might say something like “Art is beautiful and fleeting” or something like that.
Nah i didnt want the exact meaning, i wanted to try and figure it out using the different clues I had
Thank you so much!
Moved this to Questions, since the Reading category is more about ‘reading’ as an activity instead of readings for single words.
Sorry, I always seem to fall afoul of choosing the wrong category with the best intentions; reading says ‘requests for reading help’ so I interpreted that as ‘help with reading something’ ^-^
I’m slowly mentally categorising all these preferences on where things go and will do better
He says うん
Yes! Where ‚something‘ stands for things like ‚a book‘ or ‚a manga‘
i meant that . . .
My spelling errors . . .
