I may share the motivations behind the change but I would be glad to have a shortcuts which navigates me to the next item no matter where the focus is.
I use both tablet and computer to do my reviews and I‘m used to use both fingers (on computer mouse clicks) and keyboard during them.
(One of my biggest flaws, I know)
What happens during reviews is that, after entering a response, I sometimes press on the „F“ key to have more info.
When doing so I can still use the ENTER key and navigate to the next item. So far so good, I’m conscious of the danger so I restrain my limbs.
Unfortunately, maybe because of some genetic flaw or due to an unconfessable attraction for a risky life, it occurs me sometimes to touch (click onto) the screen, gently..Ooops!
Ok, now I’m in troubles:
The pale gray arrow under the „Open eye“ Icon tells me I‘m trapped:
“F“ key will just close / open the same menu (here the Info menu) in an infinite senseless loop and so will do the ENTER key. “E“ key won‘t help neither…
Is there a way to navigate to the next item without touching (clicking onto) the screen?
Yes, we can! (Someone used to say some year ago)
You just (!) have to press the TAB key 4-5 times and then the Enter key.
Or you might opt for the „shorter“ 4-key (!) sequence of pressing 3 times SHIFT-TAB and then again the Enter key.
But beware: just press the treacherous TAB key one time more or less and the whole will yeald to refreshing the whole page or opening the wrong item so that the game can start all over again 
My Fingers are already soaring, is there a possibility to find a better way?
Maybe just introduce and additonal shortcut which in this situaltion no matter where the d**n focus is just navigate to the next item if a response has been alrerady given?
I would suggest the „N“ (next) or right-arrow key for such a shortcut, or maybe „H“ for „Help-me-out-of-here!“ 
but hey any key will do for me, really!
