Okay. What the actual fuck did I just read? I need to see what everyone else thinks of this because I’m in shock its so weird what the hell

I’m also definitely curious in seeing what other people think of Migi and Dali, haha. That’s one where having read the whole thing I’m still not really sure if I liked it exactly, but it’s so strange and not quite like anything else it feels kind of great anyway.
I’m going to try not to mention it every time the series comes up, but the author tragically passed away from cancer this year and I feel especially sad about it since they’re the author who I would know the least what to expect from their next work.
There was an anime that came out this year too - I wonder how it was received?

Woah, just skimmed this one and looked it up. it looks like a surreal psychological thriller comedy? I don’t really understand how that combines but it looks intriguing. I can’t imagine being able to make head or tail of it without reading the first volumes. And the premise is dark enough I’m not going to prioritise it, but it looks like a really interesting one I might come back to.

I’m reading ホテル・メッツァペウラへようこそ from 78, I’m finding it more approachable than trying to read across a load of series in one issue. I might post thoughts now and then, perhaps one per issue to discuss? I’m really enjoying it so far.
