Ah, another long day on WaniKani, but it’s set to be easier tomorrow, so fingers crossed xdd
Today, a friend raised an interesting point on Bunpro…
…I didn’t know that 台 could be used to refer to platform or anything flat
I was convinced that this word was just a “machine”, but now it makes sense why 台所 is what it is: it’s just a place with flat counters where you can cut down things xdd
Kanji do come in handy ^^
And yeah, きみが死ぬまで恋をしたい, still a fan of 一迅プラス, I think it might be the most convenient way of reading the manga that’s not paperback for me, I will take it for a trip in September C:
Life
I kept getting distracted in the reviews by putting up a fight with a certain French person insulting Poland for some reason and an Italian person doing some very one-sided mediation, it reminded me of this whole “I brought personality B to friend group A” memes and my Discord persona leaked online
xddd
Anyway, remember the Nett hier stickers I saw in Boston earlier this year? I requested 15 of them xddd
I don’t know what to do with them yet, but they’re free and the shipping was covered, so hey, might as well play around with those xdd
And I already started, because I started preparing my birthday party xdd
Look at those oversized rodents, I should’ve sent them a birthday invite, alas ![]()
Today was the Book Swap as per usual and one person came in proudly wearing a clearly bootleg version of Lafufu, worked as a great conversation starter xddd
We ended up yapping for a very long time and trading Whatsapp numbers in case we were ever to do adventures in the city, but I’m waiting for her to come to the Book Swap in two weeks first, and then if she is consistent at coming, why not become friends C:
On the way back, Berlin still is going through the decolonialization and the denazification and I noticed that the name of one of the streets in Berlin got crossed out, so I decided to look it up:
It turns out, this street previously used to bear a name of a Jewish publisher, Rudolf, but then after 1935, nazis took over and renamed the street from him, and now Germany is trying to make an effort to do things right and they renamed the street to honor his wife that worked together with Rudolf: Emilie-Mosse-Straße
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a street actually in the process of being renamed before, so that was a bit of a HUH for me today xdd
Oh well, fun day regardless ^^
See you tomorrow!
