IMPORTANT WORD FOR TODAY xddd
probably bordering on a spoiler, I’m okay spoiling this one xdddd
So I bought MaruMori lifetime today. Huge financial decision I might not recover from for a while (xddd), but I was really curious about the integrations built with it, and MaruDex being the biggest one and one I’ve been meaning to set for a while.
It’s REALLY good with manga, even the small hand-written text sometimes gets properly OCRed, as opposed to something like meikipop or yomininja. Also, it has proper bounding rectangles on Mac OS.
And look, the conjugation is really cool!
But since I have so many different toys, I had enough time to test it on streaming Switch to my laptop, works pretty well, though there aren’t any bounding rectangles, so I’m wasting a ton of battery and energy on this laptop to get streaming to work…
…so my next intuition was to get it running on my Android tablet, and feature-wise it works almost identical… but it lags each time you press the panda for a second or two before it even starts processing, which is like 
It does work, it’s just much slower on the tablet to the point where I’m like >:[ using it xdd
And as predicted, it works the best on Ayn Thor, across both of the modes: the dual-screen one:
…and the single-screen one for things like 3DS games.
Of course, the 3DS ones are a bit awkward because you can’t carry the dictionary between screens, but most of the time it’s the top screen you’ll be reading on, so I can handle the compromise ^^
In general, a lot of very uneven workflows I wish I could improve, I just don’t know how to make the MaruDex work for me specifically ^^
I also played the minigame for confusing kanjis and got a score of 25/30 for N2 level, I wish they had readings too, but that’s more Chase Colburn’s Kanji Study I feel ^^
Anyway, MaruMori good, happy with my purchase so far!
And Layla today was speaking about the cremation speedy funeral of her grandpa she had to miss because of her move to Australia, it hit me on a more emotional level and had a really compelling story, so today’s podcast was nice to listen to ^^
Life
Today, me and my friends went to an advance screening of Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, the actual German premiere is in two weeks ^^
As a part of the promotion campaign, you could get a temporary tattoo taken, so I ended up getting one and got my friends to also take matching ones ^^
…it was just a regular eyeliner xdddd
Anyway, today’s screening was 1000 people and it was fully sold out, in the morning there were no more tickets left, and the people that were cancelling were immediately filled in, it’s a big day for my LESBIAN GIRLIEESSS xddd
The film actually hits the cinema on the 20th, but it was a special screening today to the point where the actresses in the film did record a voice line GREETING THE BERLIN YORCK MONGAY AUDIENCE SPECIFICALLY, like what’s the level of popularity if they say hi specifically just to us xddd
And yeah, the film was a combination of two programs at Yorck: Creepy Crypt (the horrors I’ve attended a few times) and MonGay (I’ve actually never attended until now), they had a host, the host was giving freebies and was trying to entertain us waiting for the delayed film, and, cute C:
One of our friends came here for a SECOND (!) watch, as there was a surprise screening at UCI last week, and she ended up changing her score of the film from 9/10 to 10/10, so you know, things are happening C:
As an asexual person myself, I’d say the depictions of sex in that film were crazy relatable, especially the dissociation and being in a completely different place when doing the deed, so hey, I found the film really cool, though probably not 10/10 yet ^^
Anyway, great opportunity to meet up with with friends and a very lesbian-coded film, all four of us as lesbians found things that stayed with us after the film ^^
