I think you’ve made a very good point with your post and thanks for leaving it, i actually agree with almost everything - the balancing act is definitely the most important, because everything in life is balance, including the balance between the presence of balance and the lack of balance

But yeah, I have a little less of a pleasant outlook on the topic of self-help because I really feel like the things that work personally for me the most are things like art, connections, experiences, self-help feels like a distilled version of those things to me, so if we’re going the “food” metaphor already, I would personally compare self-help to something like a Huel or protein supplements
Like yeah, it does something, it’s just i personally have grown to avoid those somethings so far ^^
VERY NICE SO PROUD OF YOU :DDDD
oi come on xddd
the original idea was more similar to natively difficulty ratings, not eugenics at all, my favorite series would probably have a different rating than the most popular series and it doesn’t mean the more popular series are bad xddd
(i think because of 冷たくて 柔らか or 北国ゆらゆら紀行 (which even isn’t a yuri manga xdd), I’d probably personally prefer stories that do have male characters in them… and everyone is friends, even though there are some special significant others ^^)

So VikingSchism had a fun idea today, looking over the Harta online comic page and finding a new comic on it, Wavers. It has some really pretty illustrations, I can feel that the story will take a supernatural angle (in fact, all of the characters are talking about this!), so hey, if it keeps being published online, I could be curious in continuing it ^^
Aside from that, Jelly Jelly Radio today spoke about a Japanese Board Game publisher, Engames, and were ranking their board games:
A lot of the games didn’t make it to Germany, and they were making a ranking of the titles that I’ve never even heard about, but because さきこ and せんな are so much fun listening to, I was just nodding my head xddd

I went to a FLINTA* hackerspace today!
It’s been a bit of a long time coming, I’ve been procrastinating on going to Berlin tech scene places for a while ^^
For those that don’t know, FLINTA* means “women, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, transgender or agender”, so mostly sapphic-centric spaces, and my book club tomorrow is adjacent as one of those events, even though it’s not explicitly called FLINTA* ^^
Today, there was the third checkin for “make your own f*cking website” workshop and people came in to ask questions how are things done in HTML/Javascript, and luckily, I did have some context and helped out two people in there!
Of course, snacks from Taiwan, got half of the chocolate after the workshop today xddd
And yeah, fun place, I kinda feel like I would like to become one of the people hanging out in there, as a part of a Verein, but it’s too early to make a call ^^
I did have to speak about technology in German today, so that was pretty interesting ^^
Also, here’s the miniature of the building!
We wrapped up at 10pm and the proper showcase of our websites will be next Monday, which I don’t know if I’ll make (not saying no, just saying maybe!) because my next week will be very eventful, so just a PSA to stay glued to the study log ^^
But man, perfect weather today…
So yeah, book club tomorrow, see you tomorrow!
