I got 40 minutes of listening in today while I did chores. I let Youtube do the work on content, so two of the three videos ended up being ones I’ve listened to in the last week or so, but it was quite interesting to go back and listen to them again. I feel like I understood more the second time around!

I’ve been thinking about getting a e-reader and xteink products have been showing up quite a lot, especially since I got into traveller’s notebook recently. Japanese support doesn’t look great but I think I’d like to get used to reading more novels on my iPad mini first before looking at getting a eReader. Kobo and Kindle being the more established brand in my mind but they have their limitations from quick searches I’ve done. Xteink are small and could be fun to have but some people are saying they’re more of a companion reader that you can bring anywhere. Boox Palma is another one that has been in the radar.

Since I already had the stream open, I could still watch even tho I’m not member 
It’s enough with membership on twitch, I don’t need on youtube as well.

It’s the line I had to replay quite a few times when I first listened to this zatsudan. I’m relistening now because it’s one of the earliest Kanae content I’ve registered of having consumed during my participation of the listening challenge. I started watching his content around start of 2024 It didn’t take long to become a super fan 
Btw, in this zatsudan he describes how it is to get eye surgery and he’s really passionate and a good story teller, it’s hilarious to listen to I recommend!

Busy day, but I managed to get some quick listening in after catching up on reviews. 10 minutes of Speaking Japanese Naturally this time around. a bit above my level, but I still felt like I could hear the individual words, even if I didn’t understand all of them.
I watched the first episode of “Until the Tshirt Dries.” It started a bit slow for my taste, but then it got a little better and even knowing what was happening, the ending had me shocked (mostly because of the way the husband conveyed the situation).
『シャツが乾くまで』の第1話を見たよ。最初はちょっとゆっくりペースで、自分の好みには合わなかったけど、その後少し良くなって、何が起こるか分かっていても、ラストにはびっくりした（主に旦那の伝え方のせいで）。
How do you listen to so much Japanese per day? I mean, I work in Japanese environment so I hear it 5 days a week and take in a lot but to intentionally listen for 10 hours?!
Currently on summer vacation! I don’t have any responsibilities to take care of (kids/pets), so I end up spending most of my time in front of the computer. 夏休みが終わったら、さすがに10時間は無理ですね。
Also, it’s not like it’s 100% active listening 100% of the time. It’s more like having the TV on in the background when Kanae streams for hours on end like he often does. I use wireless headphones, super flexible for walking around in my apartment.

Rough day at work today. Didn’t want to put forth the mental effort into something more directly challenging, so instead I watched Episode 1 of ゆるキャンポ [Laid-Back Camp] for a second time, still without any subtitles (I can’t be bothered to locate the Japanese subtitles, so I’m just enjoying the art and listening intently for now). Probably didn’t even understand half the episode still, but I picked up a little more than the last pass through, so I’ll take it.
Pimsleur Level 5 Lesson 8.
Gonna have to repeat this lesson though.
