Starting off strong with my first animated film watched without English subtitles, ルックバック (available on Amazon Prime in France). It definitely helped to have already read the manga, as it follows the story basically word for word. That being said, I had to watch a number of scenes with dialogue multiple times to catch the gist of what was being said. I tried following up with the animated series of City, but it was way harder and I put on English subs.
I’d like to spend at least five minutes every day doing active listening. In the last challenge I listened a good amount, but it tended to be mostly passive listening (notably podcasts on my way to work).
Still not sure yet if I’m going to take the JLPT N3 in December (registration opens here in September), but I know that if I do, listening is my weakest point so I really need to work on it.
