Ah, another “Nova” Splatoon fan!!

In recent years I’ll go through waves of playing a ton, or not playing at all. Right now I’m playing and watching a lot of Splatoon YouTube hahaha.
Did you see the recent update to the game? It was actually kind of big. Lots of weapon patches/balancing, the new “flow aura”, even visible health bars!!
Yeah!! 
He’s really good, it’s fun to watch high level players! He’s especially insane at dualies and using the splash wall
His channel has recently been my indulgent, addictive, easy, and fun, but still-technically-Japanese-practice videos haha

The one hosted by Ueda Rei, right?
I was just searching for running podcasts on Youtube and it seemed the most interesting one, so I’ve been listening to it for a couple of months now (mostly on spotify though). I like running and live in Japan so have done several races here (smaller local ones in my prefecture though, not Tokyo marathon or anything yet) so it’s nice to listen about races and running related stuff going on around Japan. I also recently started a new job which will involve helping to plan/run my city’s local half-marathon so it will be good to keep up to date! I started listening around 駅伝 season which there were also lots of segments about, I was following Hakone Ekiden quite heavily.
I mostly listen when running so don’t do many lookups about unknown vocab, but still pick up some new stuff like ふくらはぎ which gets repeated over and over again. I like Rei’s voice and her quite keigo-esque style of speaking, and it’s a nice slightly challenging podcast to listen to. There’s a lot of time devoted to listener comments/messages which is kind of nice to get used to that style of phrasing, but sometimes it can get a bit droney.

Apr. 3 - listened to Episode 30 of 4989 American Life (27分).
I learned the words for vowels (母音 - ぼいん) and consonants (子音 ーしいん). Interesting kanji relationship between these words!

I watched some more Splatoon on Youtube like the previous day. Only for a little over 10 minutes. Didn’t make it to 30 minutes, but I think those 10 minutes are more than I would have listened to otherwise without this challenge!!

I didn’t keep precise track of how much time I spent sampling the other ones whom I didn’t stick with but if I had to guess it must have been at least 30 minutes, so I’ll just add that to the number of minutes spent.

GTA Newtown gang has a get-together aka 二次会, long time with all 13 of them since the newtown server closed. Then they end the game and Kanae, Kuzuha and Shaka stay behind to play street fighter 6 as a form of 三次会 二次会の二次会. I can’t believe they stop stream at 7am local time. やりすぎでしょ
