This channel is a relaxing space for introverts and those who lack confidence to study Japanese at their own pace. I share everyday topics, Japanese culture, and even light-hearted stories in natural-speed Japanese. With shadowing practice, you can gently work on speaking aloud—at your own pace. Perfect for those who prefer quiet, solo learning. Even if you’re not confident speaking yet, you’re welcome just as you are.
Let’s relax and enjoy learning Japanese together.
Please put spoiler tags around anything from anything that will be in future weeks
Instructions for Spoiler Tags
Click the cog above the text box and use either the “Hide Details” or “Blur Spoiler” options. The text which says “This text will be hidden” should be replaced with what you are wishing to write. In the case of “Hide Details”, the section in the brackets that is labelled “Summary” can be replaced with whatever you like also (i.e, [details=”Chapter 1, Pg. 1”]).
Hide Details results in the dropdown box like below:

This is an example of the “Hide Details” option.
The “Blur Spoiler” option will simply blur the text it surrounds.

This looks like a good way to get my listening time up. The episodes are short, I could listen to one per day. What do you guys usually do when you listen to podcasts?
I’ve never been one to listen to podcasts or even music while doing something else like cleaning, walking or driving etc. Doubly so for Japanese. So I guess my answer is, I’m just listening. I guess that’s why I don’t do a lot, it’s competing equally with everything else. Sometimes I get weird energy crashes where I’m not really ill but I can’t do much but lay down. Sometimes that’s a good time to listen
Very cool. I’m bringing strawberry + a little German cranberry-like berry jam to the party
I’ve finished the first 3 jams now. She speaks quite slow (like she said in the first episode, it’s her natural speed). Therefore I’m seriously considering going to 1.2x or 1.3x speed
Tropics so far are varied, vocabulary is useful and easy. I think I had to rewind 2-3 times to catch something (雪だるま).
Just wrapped up Episodes 2 and 3. Hearing Ayano describe people falling asleep standing up was quite amusing.
On the kanji front, I encountered 遭う (an alternate form of 会う) for the first time! I was quite confused at first when it wasn’t displayed as an option after typing あう on my computer. I look forward to being reminded of its existence 20 WaniKani levels from now.
Finished episode 2. I liked this one cause she said that winter in Hokkaido lasts from October to March, and it reminds me of what my dad says about Alaska: once it snows for the first time in October, you won’t see the ground again until April.
