This came up in a different thread the other day and @Vanilla had a bunch of other examples of this てみろ usage. To quote him:
It’s used for something bringing about a certain hypothetical result, typically
In our example the “bringing a spore into the fields” is the condition, and “it being a big deal/trouble/commotion” the hypothetical result.
FWIW the Viz English translation is “If even one of those gets into the fields, there’ll be an uproar, let me tell you!”.
