Sloth’s actions confuse me a little. What brings him above ground, and why does he keep going into Briggs rather than turn back? I mean, I guess he is Sloth, and is looking for any excuse to stop working. (Also, the odds of him arriving at Briggs at almost exactly the same time as Ed and Al…)
The guy spent multiple pages in this chapter holding Armstrong’s hand. He’s definitely not all there. Also, keep in mind that as one of the top brass of the Amestris military, he’s presumably part of the big conspiracy.

He sent her away, theoretically into obscurity, so I’m not sure what more he could have done. What are you supposed to do when your head-of-state, who is also the commander-in-chief of the miliary, is the bad guy? Wait, uh… maybe don’t answer that. Has anyone ever tried plotting the locations of significant ICE events on a map to see if they form a circle?
