Totally! To the point where it almost feels like cheating for me to have kanji. In some games, thereโs the option of playing โkanaโ only, which is probably โfor kidsโ, now I try to go for that whenever I can, because going without kanji is the true hard mode for me! And forces me to reflect on the actual reading of things instead of just seeing the kanji, understanding the gist, and not looking it up.
