The page count is approximate because I have the ebook, so I calculated based on percentages. If someone has the physical book and wants to provide actual page numbers, it would be appreciated.

Also, if you have any objections to the schedule, I’m open to other ideas. It’s L30 on Natively and there’s a lot of dialogue, so I expect it to be an easy read.

In my physical copy, the page numbers are as follows:

語っていた。–> p. 31

猿並だ。–> p. 77

end of book → without 解説 p. 114, including 解説 p. 121

I never read the 解説 anyway and thus have never paid attention to whether we are generally including it in the page count or not. :laughing:

Thank you. I updated the table in the first post. Could you tell me what the first page of text is, so we have an accurate page count for week 1?

My ebook doesn’t have a 解説, by the way. Not sure if it’s my version (Bookwalker) or all of them.

Edit: I wonder if we should have week 1 stop at the next section break, at 44%, ending at のが分かった。 :thinking:

I don’t have an objection but it’s my first time joining the ABC so I don’t know if I will be able to follow the pace. But I’m going to try! Definitely expecting to be using the whole week to reach the reading goal, and not just one session on the first day like I’ve been doing with the other clubs so far

By the way it has a pre-built JPDB deck, maybe you can include the link in the first post?

I’m open to changing it four weeks if people think it’s better.

What do you think of the schedule?
  • The schedule looks good as it is now
  • I’d like the schedule to be 3 weeks, but I have a change to propose
  • I’d prefer the schedule to be 4 weeks
  • I’m fine either way

I looked at the number of characters and it looks like with the current schedule I can complete the reading each week if I read 2/3k per day. I’ve been reading a Visual Novel and before that a novel level 36 5k/a day so I think I can manage the pace!

As I suspected, changing the cut off point to のが分かった doesn’t change much, it just makes the first week larger, rather than the second. I think it’s better to start off easy and then ramp up, so I’m keeping the schedule as is.

And just like that, time is sneaking :snake: up on us and it’s almost time to start!
Was looking at the book to start feeling ready and I already have one question, is it correct that there is no prologue, no foreword, no table of content, and after the title, the book just immediately starts?

It’s almost time! Just wanted to let everyone know that there’s also an audiobook available on audiobook.jp if you’re interested. For only 3 hours I’m not sure it’s worth the price, but it’s included in their all-you-can-listen plan (to which I subscribed accidentally) so I for one will be listening to it. :smiley:
