経つ synonym partially removed

My guess is that they took out the meaning during some update but forgot to take it out of the explanation.

Also I agree with taking it out, I don’t think it should be listed as a meaning and I’d suggest you learn it as to pass (of time). The meaning in the dictionary is literally just 時間が経過する。

I love it when Japanese uses a kanji to define a different word using the same kanji…

Agreed, it seems reasonable to remove the meaning. I liked using expired since it included the context of time and differentiated from, for example, 通る (which I guess I should start thinking of as “to pass through” anyway). But that’s an entirely separate discussion about memorizing definitions vs understanding meanings.
