Right when I thought it was getting interesting and said I’d like to read more quickly… :unamused:

It didn’t live up to the expectations set last week. At this point I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we can go one chapter without a ハルヒ／朝比奈 scene. And キョン isn’t any better than ハルヒ.

Basically this is all I have to say about this week’s reading. I wonder if that’s the reason there are so few comments in this thread or if it’s just a coincidence because of people being behind in the reading.

I guess we can at least look forward to this 集合 that will presumably happen in the chapter we are about to start.

To be honest, I was thinking of writing a comment this week, but honestly I feel like all I ever write about this book is how much I’m annoyed with these scene and how uncomfortable it makes me feel. And even last week, which was actually quite good, I just kinda felt so relieved with the break that it almost overshadowed the actual reading for me.

Not sure if I’m overreacting at this point, but I’m just quite fed up with the book and I don’t see any point in regularly repeating the same issues I’m having, if only to not ruin it for people that may be enjoying themselves.
So yeah, I suppose in my case you’re right. Plus, I think, there are still a good few people catching up. Or some may have just not read it yet.

Not much else to add. At this point, I’m just idly interested in seeing who is the worst between ハルヒ and the main character. With those last two sentences, I’d say キョン.
I’m going to keep reading anyway, but this is more because I hate to leave a book unfinished. This part destroyed all the interest I finally got from the last one. If we luck upon another good part later on, good. If not, whatever.
