So it’s funny that it’s a discovery that’s hard to find discussion about…
I saw some of this actual Jomon pottery 縄文土器 in a museum in Japan a few months ago… It’s lovely and very advanced… Considering its age, people have appreciated art for a very very long time!

I wanted to see what the Joumon pottery making process looked like and ended up finding this channel where two salarymen spend time in the forest recreating Joumon tools with Joumon materials (while wearing suits, lol)
