文プロ(Bunpro) Bunsgiving 2025 - 2025 Yearly Recap (Bunpro Wrapped) & Lifetime Sale - Nov 24th, 2025 - Japanese Grammar and Vocab SRS

Wow, that all sounds amazing!

I’m definitely gonna get back into bunpro after my WaniKani reviews get more managable some time after hitting level 60. Most N2 grammar points are still waiting for me :eyes:

Overall, I can just say that I was amazed when I first started Bunpro a little over a year ago but it just keeps getting better

That’s great, hopefully we will have N2 reading sections ready for you.
@rikaiwisdom @latepotato Thank you for the kind words!

I just want to say that these planned updates are exactly the reason I have a lifetime subscription to Bunpro! I haven’t been using it a lot recently, but it will certainly always be something I keep in my toolbox for quick reference, and that I’ll come back to in the future to re-learn those pesky grammar points you almost never see but still need to know.

Also that I looked through the open positions and I LOVE the benefits y’all offer your employees. Knowing that you guys take care of not only your customers, but also those that make it all possible only further deepens my confidence in Bunpro as a company and long-term resource. I wish I fit the bill for any of the current openings, but maybe one day :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Keep up the great work! Such a fantastic company and product.

Really appreciate you saying that! Hopefully one day

New Dashboard Design

  • Information you care about: The profile box changes and the addition of the SRS level count tiles should give you more and better information about where you are in your studies.
  • The start of consistent design: Gone are the 14 different colors previously used with different spacing and alignment. Going forward the new Bunpro styles will be applied to existing parts of the site as well as in new upcoming super secret features.

Modern:

Dark

Great addition!
Though i’ll probably still use the Bunpro++ script for a while, to show the number of ghost reviews.

script source/description:

thinking about starting bunpro,

how is the review methodology? Does it pile like WK if you dont do the reviews? I dont have a lot of free time, so doing bunpro lessons and reviews every 2 or 3 days if a nice pace? Wk I do everyday the reviews, it is my main goal now.

how long does it take to finish bunpro? WK I hear that 2.5 years is enough, doing the typical 20 lessons a day, 100 below apprentice items.

How many grammar points are there for each N5 to N1 level?

for every level in bunpro all N5 to N1 are mixed in lessons or one’s must finish first N5 and then N4, and so on?

There are 118 N5 178 N4 219 N3 210 N4 136 N1 grammar points right now.

It’s not like wanikani you can add all grammar points you want into your review pile. Not only that you can even mark that you know a grammar point already and you will have it mastered right away.

You can only do reviews every 2 or 3 days, you just need to accordingly choose a slower pace of lessons. Another tip: set ghost reviews to minimal, otherwise they pile up.

around what month is there sale discount for subscription in bunpro?

I would like to time a 30 day trial and if I like, I would like to get a lifetime or annual subscription.

They’ve done sales before in December for New Years.

Ghost counts are implemented and will be updated with the next release

@evandcs @Natsuha did a great job of answering the questions you had. If you have any more, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Also @Saimin 's suggestion is a good one!

@conan We have indeed  Wouldn’t want to break tradition…

is bunpro like WK in terms of scripts?

Because for WK I use like 16 and without them I would never get to where I am today, they are really helpful for reviews etc.

Is there a list for bunpro as well?

@evandcs there is: List of Scripts - Bunpro - Bunpro Community
that being said, i haven’t found Bunpro to need a lot of scripts, i only use 3 i think. (while i’m using ~13-20 on WK)

New Grammar:

N5 (Released last week - August 6th)
る - Verbs[た] - る - Verbs Past Tense
う - Verbs[た・ました] - う - Verbs Past Tense
る - Verbs[なかった] - る - Verbs Negative Past Tense
うVerbs [なかった・ませんでした] - うVerbs (Negative Past Tense)

N1 (Released today - August 13th)
には及ばない② - to be no match (for), to not compare (with), to fall short (of), to not reach, cannot win with, to be out of reach (for), to not be on par (with)
とは言うものの - although, but, although I say, although it is said, having said that
が早いか - as soon as, no sooner than, instant, no sooner had
に難くない - not hard to, not difficult to, easy to, is obvious that
ならいざ知らず - don’t know about it, maybe it would/might be possible for

I use 6 scripts for WK but for Bunpro I don’t feel the need. Often, the site prompts you when you do some honest or minor mistake (i.e., like giving a correct answer but not from the grammar point that is being asked) and also there is an undo button.

Just some feedback on the “learn” UI. The dashboard update and theme looks great. I find the learn UI to be a bit oblique and suffer from consistent alignment on the page. I’m not much of a designer/front-end developer, but I can appreciate when a page “breathes”

Here’s a screenshot of 10 minutes worth of small edits in Chrome that I think makes the page more legible. I might turn this into a script that runs on the page if others are interested.
