Hi all
I was a bit surprised here. I thought I made a mistake but it is accepted.
I tried looking it up and could not find anything that refers to “release”
Why is “to release” accepted?

did it say something like “you might want to check if that’s the correct answer”?
maybe it thought it was a typo.
Yeah it probably fuzzy-matched “to receive” somehow. @mods could add it to the blacklist, I presume (although I really struggle to understand how you went from 受 + 取 to “release”).
Sure, I’ll get this added to to the block list now!
Haha, I couldn’t remember and tried to guess it as “to accept something is taken” so I thought of “release”.
Genuine question… how did you arrive at “to release” again? Seems odd that you saw the two kanji 受 (accept) | 取 (take) and figured “oh that’s ‘to release’”.
Personally, sometimes when I don’t remember the meaning of some vocab, I simply break it down into kanji parts and do some guess work haha.
we all mix up words. it’s not that odd to enter a somewhat similar sounding word if your memory’s fuzzy!
