一日 two pronuciation

Hello,

I would like to know what is the most common use pronunciation for 一日, ichinichi or tsuitachi?

ついたち for dates, or number of days.
いちにち for all day long or throughout the day.

So basically it’s not common vs uncommon, but depends on the context.

However, personally I’d read:
1日 more likely as ついたち, and
一日 as いちにち

Actually ついたち is just for dates. “One day” is always いちにち.
