Yeah, Gorbit already explained it well; I did have intent to go through and edit it before the first week, but I dropped the ball on it a bit; I’ve gotten a little behind.
I’m hoping to sneak in a bit of time right after work today before I go out, but I am not sure I’ll be able to. At a minimum, I’ll try and get the first 5 pages worth of vocab taken care of. I just have a particularly busy weekend ahead of me.
So, you’re right, the manga vocab is not on there yet. But Koohi has a feature that lets you import your own vocabulary and I used the vocab list from in this thread. It’s not immediately obvious that the option even exists and I had to dig around the forum before stumbling onto it, but it works great. I’d be happy to make a post showing how to do it.
Oh man…this is a bit like rocket sience for me
I was able to get Python and I could run the Mokuro install command. But this screenshot thing is giving me headaches!
I eventually found out how to open the console on Chrome on my Macbook and then I try to follow the Readme description. But I guess Bookwalker won’t let me download that stuff I guess. Here is what my console looks like when I open it while Horimiya is open
Then the Readme says “Paste the Javascript code into the console, then press Enter.” I guess here I should copy and paste the https… but when I hit Enter nothing happens.
Just managed to buy it digitally on Bookwalker. I had no idea that you could use a U.S. credit card on Japanese websites; in fact I used PayPal and it even showed me how much it was in USD. Bookwalker seems pretty alright for Japanese versions of manga, it’s really easy.
I had to buy the volume in browser but I can read it on the IOS app, and the quality is serviceable. I mean, for $4.97 USD to get a volume, I’ll take the slightly low quality images. I’m excited to get into it!
On the vocab sheet can we please make the very light grayed out definitions slightly darker? I find it annoying and counter productive to even have it on the sheet at all if it’s barely readable.
A webcomic, a manga, and (now) 3 anime series actually. But the anime I meant is also called Hori-san to Miyamura-kun, it’s also pretty well rated on mal.
The webcomic is kind of a mess to try to read (recently finished reading the first volume of it). There’s 10 volumes of the webcomic, and then like 16 volumes of a second series of the webcomic that’s afterstory stuff. Highly recommend the OVA adaptation of the webcomic, it is super cute. (Although, doesn’t go very far)
There’s also a jdrama adaptation too! There’s so many adaptations and retellings and reworkings of this story, you can really pick your poison
