I thought the same! Fun to see him in not just normal clothes but a very pink shirt. Took me a while to work out who was the man behind him in this frame (Yamcha).
Lots of other fun stuff in this chapter. Krillen’s shirt, Bulma’s new hair style. Loved the father son joke on the space ship. Misread 征服 as 制服 on that page when I first read it.
We don’t get much interlude in these stories, we are straight back into battle!

It was nice to have a chapter that wasn’t a battle scene for a change. Even though nothing really happened…
I didn’t remember King Cold or this version of Frieza from when I read Dragon Ball in English before. Presumably because they get wiped out immediately and only appear briefly.
I loved the way Frieza was sliced in half and then chopped into small pieces for good measure! That panel reminded me of Buggy the pirate clown from One Piece.
If you hadn’t mentioned it I would’ve completely read over it!

Finished the volume today. It was fun to finish with a little hop into the future with the cell games.

And we are done with another volume! I’ve never reached chapter 100 of a manga in Japanese before, looks like I need to wait another Enjoyed year before I get there with this one!
When most other manga are in black and white it’s amazing that this one has been in full colour throughout. I love my physical collection of these books, even though the writing is sometime tiny. I’ve still never brought myself to cut into them to release the Dragon Ball card which is sealed in a pouch at the back of each volume!
