Nice curve ball there! We only ever saw Louise by herself until now, so there was nobody to compare her to. She definitely can’t just go back to her old life now that she’s adult-sized.
Now it seems like we’re going to switch over to Belle. Losing her sister is probably going to hit way harder as she regains her memories of being human. That’s going to be rough.

Oh man, that last panel. Belle actually came to the right conclusion of who the enemy is, without coordinating with anyone else. But it doesn’t seem like it’s going to end well, especially given that “final message” type letter she put in the doll. That’s some grim foreshadowing.

Hm, not sure why I didn’t get emails for these posts even though I’m subscribed to the thread 
Anyway!
I had to read ahead last week after the end of Chapter 218. Louis got played like a fiddle! It’s kind of weird that he was taken away by faceless dolls though. He should be able to easily overpower them. Maybe he doesn’t see a point since the other adults would go after him if he did.
But Joseph stole the show! I thought he might be the actual big bad, and Grandpa Shadow was just a figurehead. Now I feel like there are no clues at all as to what Grandpa is or why the morphs turned against Mirror House.
Joseph turning out to be a good guy was really out of left field too. It might be a ruse though. Even if it isn’t, he was at the top while tons of kids were killed and taken over by shadows, so his hands aren’t really clean.
I’m interested to see more explained in the next volume. Hopefully they explain why Joseph kept control instead of the shadow. It doesn’t seem like anyone would have broken him out of the cocoon partway through like Kate’s mom. I also want to see what happened to Belle.
It seems like the story is nearing its conclusion!
I’m not convinced he’s a good guy. I guess time will tell.
Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if he turned out to be a villian. Especially after how Anthony turned out.
