It seems like the new kids are kind of dangerous For now I was able to keep to the schedule. I hope we get to see Oliver get cursed next week, whatever that means!
It’s funny that the pair in the chapter illustration were the pair that weren’t in this week’s reading.
Oliver hasn’t learned from what happened with Kate and Emilico, huh? I feel like attacking with a mech is going more than a little overboard
But he and Ollie did figure out the kids aren’t brainwashed! I’m glad, because that means there won’t be a drawn out sequence where the two groups are acting independently, not knowing about each other.
I felt it was kind of silly that Stella was able to bounce the stamp into her hand like that, but was willing to let it go with suspension of disbelief. But they actually accounted for that by having Kate be the one that manipulated it to go that way. Nice!
Oof, I wanted to read ahead. But I held fast! I’m eager to see if Emilico and Candy end up revealing that they remember each other.
Yeah I’m interested where this is heading. To be honest, I don’t really like Candy. She seems to have a fairly mean/ selfish streak, and doesn’t seem to treat Stella well. She does seem to have built an alliance with the other newcomers, but she’s clearly good at actin different roles.
Yes! Mutual understanding! I’m glad to see it. I was hoping to see Sara act defeated, so I was disappointed to see it was all part of Edward’s plan. It looks like the big four are going to have their eyes on Emilico and Candy now. I wonder what they are going to do.
I feel like it was pretty obvious when the ladder got cut (and just by the tightrope-like sideways ladder) that he was looking to expose that their memories were back. I guess they fell right into their trap sadly
Given Joseph’s weird behavior, I agree with Edward that something’s up with him. Either he’s in league with Anthony, and he’s running interference. OR he’s actually the master of Shadow House, and the well dressed Shadow is just a stand-in. In that case, he may be interested to see just how far they can get, or he may know about Kate and want her to rise up to the level where he can meet her.
Last time it seemed like it would go real badly for Edward if everybody passed, but it actually happened this time, and it doesn’t look like there is any consequence for him. It was great to see how happy the younger kids were! And that they and Kate’s group are going to work together now.
Yeah, it did seem like what Edward’s big reveal wasn’t really a surprise to him. I feel like it would make sense for the original shadows that took over the house to know of the one who got away, and maybe expected something like this to happen. It could also be that the elder shadows have powers that we can’t even think of yet (and considering Oscar’s power as a kid, it wouldn’t surprise me if they knew basically everything that happened in the mansion)
I’m not certain they know yet that this is one “who got away”, or even that one did. Although a morph crashed through the carriage window, surely they wouldn’t know for certain what would happen? Or maybe they did.
