I need to buy volume 16, I’m hoping maybe there’ll be a big coin back promotion in the next few days as I have several books to buy for clubs, but I think it’s unlikely. I’m busy over the weekend so I’ll just buy it if no promo by Monday.
So they actually discovered Maggie’s body. And Anthony did it with Margaret’s knife. I missed that detail. So he passed it off as Margaret murdering her, although it seems they also suspected it might be suicide. And Patrick mentioned he had proposed to Margaret in front of Emilico! That’s dedication.
Speaking of Emilico, it seems like these chapters have been emphasizing her. Like when there was a whole panel for Ricky poking her nose. Is it just my imagination? Her wink to help Kate gloss over wanting to punch Edward was great though.
I expected that Kate would fill the star bearer ranks with her crew, so it’s quite a twist that none of them will be star bearers with her.
It’s kind of weird that Edward is showing so much favor to Sara, given he and his crew have said her info hasn’t been that useful. Am I forgetting about something?
Yup, and he was lying to Sara and telling her she was really helpful, so it probably makes sense to her. But she can’t really spy from the adult area. I guess that’s not a big deal if her info wasn’t actually useful.
I was also surprised at how much she revealed. But she’s said the whole time that her goal is to unite the kids, so being open and honest even with folks she doesn’t have a super solid trust relationship with makes sense from that perspective.
That trust may go out the window if the trick she did with Anthony to save Barbara comes to light though On the other hand, maybe folks will be understanding since it was to save Barbara’s life.
That’s fair, but I wouldn’t have told Oliver either. That should have remained a secret within their group if you ask me.
Hopefully they don’t regret being so open.
@aamunoz What was the trick to save Barbara? One downside of reading the volumes as they come out is I forget all the details by the time I read the next volume.
Last week’s reading broke me I read the whole volume.

Holy cow, Douglas got his face slashed. Not his “face”, but his face. I guess it makes sense he turned out the way he did with a team leader like that. But it was nice to see him and Evelyn starting to bury the hatchet. At least King (is that a real name people have???) provided a bonding and personal growth opportunity It felt really good to see Douglas stand up to him at the end.

And thanks to you and @2OC3aOdKgwSGlxfz for the info on the popularity of King as a name. It just seems like it would be such a flex to name your son that, I was taken aback
