Yes, there will be a thread for each week. I’ll post the first one soon to get us started.
Lots of participation is what makes these clubs lively! A lot of it will be questions about the reading, since even looking up all the words doesn’t always mean you understand the sentences or why the language was used that way. It’s also a chance to appreciate the book together and cheer each other on as we work through it.

I’ve read the series in English, but bought the first two Japanese volumes on sales, so I’m using this as an excuse/motivation to read it! A few days ago I was like eh the club is starting soon so I’ll start reading.. and then I accidentally blitzed through like 60 pages haha 
But!! On the plus side I think it was definitely very accesible language wise, and the reading goes even faster if you’re invested in the story!! Most pages are not overwhelming with text, so I think this will be a great first manga or a good manga to read if you’re just getting into reading manga in Japanese! When the reading starts please don’t be shy to ask questions, you guys have got this!!

The anime also seems to be a very faithful adaptation of the manga, so there’s that to watch afterwards too.

This will be my first book club! I just found this post, so I’ll probably start digital since shipping takes a while for physical books. Will we read part 2 in this series next? If so, I’ll get it now so I have time to ship it.
