You’re right about the typo. Should be “good first time”.
That’s what happens when I just typed a section about pronouns typically used by girls (or boys)…
Edit: Even worse, it was supposed to be first time… (Maybe I need to take a break and go read manga.)
I just started reading ちいさな森のオオカミちゃん together with ホリミヤ and your post caught my interest. Do you mind sharing wich YouTube video you were referring to (if you remember)? 
Sorry for refreshing an old post but I just wanted to say I have just purchased this digital copy of this so I can start to get in to the book club but by starting with what looked like one of the easier entries. Saying that there is still a lot of kanji I dont know but Im going to try and study as I go.
This is also my first manga so Im hoping its a good one 
Certainly a good starting point! It’s adorable, it’s funny, it’s got furigana everywhere, and it’s not too hard on the grammar for the most part.
