ぇ on an iPhone

I often do WK reviews on my iphone while out and about… and I’d like to know how to type ぇ… With Tsurukame, I could just cheat while typing エッフェル塔 and just force the app to accept my answer… but that won’t help me in the future when I actually want to text/type on my phone…

On my laptop, I can type “le” which gives me a little え but 。。 れ is what I get on the iphone.

Fyi, I use a qwerty computer set-up and do romaji-style inputs to get my kana and kanji - I’m not used to Japanese-style typing on a phone.

While I don’t use Tsurukame, I’m pretty certain you can just type “xe”

Typing “fe” should get you フェ. There’s nothing in Wanikani that requires you to type just a single ぇ, it’s always preceded by a consonant which would force the え to be small. But you can use “xe” to type the ぇ if you needed it in another context.
