Your worst typos WaniKani has accepted

Just had this and I think this probably shouldn’t be accepted:

One wonders how that was accepted. Maybe they’ve got “ereyesterday” as a hidden synonym.

I think “yesteresterday” rolls off the tongue better

“Overmorrow” flows much better. Let’s stop living in the past. :stuck_out_tongue:

@Mods I was thinking about 弱点 when i responded to this, this seems like it shouldn’t be accepted? I’m not actually sure how it got through, it’s pretty different from the actual answers…

In my experience, ‘Weak point’ is a way of saying something you’re not very good at (“Drawing hands is a weak point of mine…”) which seems to gel with the other definitions?

Ah yes, sense of durt, the ability to sense durtles.

Hey Zichqec! It looks like “weak point” is on the allow list for 欠点, as it is a valid translation for this word. :+1: Let me know if you have any questions!

I’m usually pretty fastidious about my spelling, but for some reason doing WK is worse for it than being blind drunk

even though it was a typo it’s probably not supposed to be correct…

I posted in another thread about typo avoidance algorithm.

It does not trigger for 3 letter answers. You should be told that you probably made a typo if you type in 3 letter answer which is not correct (since earlier in thread you said there is logic behind the scenes).

It should not just accept a typo as correct it should do the shaky shake thing popup and get you to try and correct it? Although for words which even I (as a spelling pedant) have trouble remembering like onomatopoeia might need some special cases lol  No one knows how to spell onomatopoeia  EDIT: Except google autocorrect of course

I mixed it up with 不安, which was in my recent mistakes as well.

@Mods I’m not sure it should be accepted, the meaning seems quite distinct from the correct one (injustice)

You’re right! I’ll get this added to the block list.

I think it was close enough to “unfairness” to get accepted. I’ll add this one to the block list too!

I mistook this for 実際 and typed “really” and it accepted it as a correct answer for the meaning :grimacing:
