On a more serious note: He canât be younger than 14, because youâre allowed to use WK when youâre at least 13 years old, and WK takes at least one year.
Other than that, I have no clue, sorry! I think I remember reading about someone who got to level 60 when he was 16 years old, but I might be wrong on this.
Isnât that age restriction purely for the forums?
Not to mention thereâs absolutely nothing stopping you from using WK anyway, even if youâre 8

I could make the same claim about 13 year olds, 40 year olds, or 28 year olds.

Not according to the terms and conditions for WaniKani, it is applicable to the WankiKani service/platform.
Hey Yamitenshi! Like mgrice said, itâs a rule for the WK forums but also included in WaniKaniâs TOS. Children under the age of 13 arenât allowed to use WaniKani.

And we all know nobody ever does anything they arenât yet allowed to. Though Iâd assume that maybe if somebody really young would post a thread saying âIâm 12 and I just finished wk, what did you achieve last yearâ, it would be promptly deleted by moderators
I mean theyâd have to convince their parents to pay for a kanji-learning website too. I guess if itâs that or RobloxâŠ

BUT i think that was before they added the 13+ thing?? this was back in like 2018. cuz i dont remember being aware of breaking any rules also im an angel child obvs

The restriction against children younger than 13 using social media is a result of the Childrenâs Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, a US law. I wouldnât think WaniKani would have ignored that in 2018, twenty years later, though I confess I donât really know for sure.
I learned how to write scripts on Roblox and now I do computational research, so itâs not all bad. Granted, I played Roblox fifteen years ago (!) and Iâm sure itâs changed a bit since then.
