You can bet it helps. Even if you don’t understand anything that is being said, you’ll start picking up the most repeated words, and when you do find out what they mean, it’ll be a lot easier to remember them!

You pick up not only words you know, but also grammar points you know. It’s very motivating, and proves you are learning something.
