Ha Ha, nice. I’ll never forget that one now.
Hope that one works better for me!
holy crap how did i never notice that
I saw it after doing the lesson which introduced 弱い 「よわい」and that Easter egg cracked me up, making it a perfect visual mnemonic for me.
I use the sheep one too! “You won’t find many sheep in the city”
I didn’t make a sentence for this one but I used the same image/character too!
右 - a man doing a Nazi salute over a wooden desk (right)
左 - A radical leftist, which is just the same except everybody is poor (left)
That one will stick for sure Welcome to the forums!
(Sorry in advance for the formatting cuz I’m using my thumbs to type this out and can’t get the no spoilers feature to work)
集 - (collect) a turkey is collecting trees to make shoes (しゅう), because it is a cobbler, and its shoe shop is called the “Gobble Cobble.”
習う - (to learn) Inuyasha needs to learn how to use the Tetsaiga so he can fight Naraku (ならう).
病む - (to be sick) when a cow is sick, it yartzes and moos (やむ).
YES INUYASHA! One of my favourites, if not favourite of all time. I’m stealing that mnemonic from you for sure
I love the spool table imagery!
Also Hidari has a sideways H holding it up.
For 転がる, to roll, I imagine a giant Koroke (ころ) rolling down the mountain.
And then I imagine eating the giant Koroke once it’s done rolling, it’s delicous
Damn this mnemonic makes me hungry
