I was disappointed that there wasn’t an illustration of Sniff getting dragged along the ground and Moomintroll and Snuffkin getting wrapped around a tree :joy:

Also can I clarify that まっ青 means that Snorkmaiden is pale / scared etc? Googling her she doesn’t look literally deep blue.

I’m pretty sure there is a passage about how she changes color depending on her mood???

Ooh fun. I either totally missed that or haven’t got to it yet. That would make sense.

Huh, I read it as pale, but I guess it is true that she can change colors, so I guess it could be read either way.

Kind of glad we’re off the mountain now, was getting a bit tired of reading about them climbing around on rocks :joy:

So it was Snork, not Snorkmaiden (easy to miss), but the whole line about him being mauve previously which clarifies that he’s literally changing colors was left out in the Japanese version:

しばらく走ると、おそらしさでまっ青になっているスノークと出会いました。スノークは、大声をあげました。「妹が’、たいへんな植物にくわれてるんだ。」
