I don’t know if it was intentional but I thought it was neat how at the end of chapter 6, the discussion on the powers of 7 is immediately followed by the number 7 of chapter 7.
Re Escalus’ theory from last week, I think it really fits with the whole 4D geometry discussion. Something similar could be going on with Shinjou’s apartment. It would be crazy, but the reveal that the whole place was sort of built for Moe means that anything goes…
My (kinda obvious?) theory is that Matsumoto floated up with some sort of balloon, and that’s also the Dragon that Ai saw. I don’t think anybody else was on the roof. He got there and somehow fell down, then floated up. Still need some way of inflating a balloon, maybe Shinjo did that?
Saikawa running into Kaname feels a bit contrived, but we’ll see how that ends up. Also kind of a jerk move from Moe to just leave her friends wondering and worrying about her in these circumstances. (And it felt like it took a while for them to try calling her cell phone)
Yeah that was weird of her, given the circumstances. I would’ve been worried too. Also her relationship with Saikawa is so messed up. I hated her going all ワクワク because he pulled her by the wrist. They’re supposed to be engaged…
Now that you mention it, the romance in this series is garbage. Makes me feel bad for even wishing there’s development (even tho they’re supposed to be engaged) Saikawa is making me shake my head, he’s hopeless. Not romantic at all.
I suppose Moe will start to fall for Hanawa since he actually shows her affection, and Saikawa will start to like Kaname for some reason, but at the last minute Saikawa and Moe will realize that they really did love each other all along.
Also, if people could stop logging in to their email accounts on Nanocraft-owned computers, that would be great
I was wondering about that all the time: Why on earth would especially this apartment have a secret access? First I thought, ok it’s a special floor as the president and vice president both live there as well. But with the reveal of the numbering scheme, I believe this apartment is something very special.
This is not obvious to me But yeah, it would solve so much: How did the murderer get up there and down again, where did he carry the corpse, how did he pull it up and so on. But it doesn’t answer all the questions: Why did he fall down in the first place? It can’t have been an accident, given he blabbered to the girls so much. Also, why did he lose his arm in the process? Who or what ripped it out? Did he get stuck on a window frame maybe, and the balloon pulled hard enough to rip it out?
Well I mean, they are Japanese after all, and touching in public (especially back then) is something Japanese don’t do, so I can understand her.
It just confuses me a lot why the ladies are falling for him so much. Is he so good-looking or anything? I suspect that Kaname is somehow trying to find things out about him on behalf of Nanocraft…
Haha my thoughts exactly!
That would be the most boring but most realistic outcome, I think.
Oh my god I cringe so much every time! And then he asked her where she read that mail, and I thought he realized, and then he also even thought about Shiki being able to find out, and STILL he does it Pretty hopeless if you ask me.
Indeed I imagined the arm catching on something… but the balloon would really need to have a lot of upward force… Also to be able to break the extra windows… But I’m sure it can work with a bit of handwaving x)
Something I noticed this chapter although I think I do it every time: I always stop a bit to reflect a bit in the opening quote because I think they’ll have some deeper meaning in relation to the story. Not sure anything ever came of that.
Haha yep, that’s also me.
The others don’t even think about it, but Saikawa banks on a person that’s a technical genius forgetting to check ips? (Or whatever the equivalent of that was PPP? Not sure what that is. Or that other abbreviation we got for that matter.)
Oh well.
Saikawa and Moe had a nice little date here. I didn’t mind the tugging scene; it’s such a trope in manga that there must be something of a romantic touch in it for Japanese people. And for all they’re officially engaged, I don’t see these two having much physical contact. They’re also still professor and student, so that’s good in my books.
It’s cool to see you catching up at about the same time as me, @NicoleIsEnough! I’ll be right behind you.
