Discussion Guidelines

 • Please blur/hide any major events in the current week’s pages (however early they occur), like so:

 • (that’s
text here
).

 • If you have a question about grammar, vocab, the story, cultural things or anything else related to the book — ask! There’s no need to be shy. If it’s something you are wondering about, chances are someone else will be thankful you asked first, lots of people enjoy answering questions, you learn something new, and the thread gets more lively. It’s a win-win on all fronts!

Shades 👻 of Kate Bush’s Cathy

誰かが激しく窓を叩く音が聞こえてきた。

Heathcliff, it’s me–Cathy.
Come home. I’m so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Ooh! Let me have it.
Let me grab your soul away.

Loving the revenge of the nerds thematics.

I really feel that in horror narratives, you should stay away from windows and avoid walking downstairs into dark basements.

And I just made it in time this week!!
This story felt easier thanks soggy for the remainder that many stories are actually stories in a book, so i did not get too confused this time

:man_raising_hand: I’m here!!

Just read this story. I’m liking how this book includes some classic Japanese urban legends/youkai. I also like that we get the short stories but there’s an overarching narrative at the same time, because sometimes I get bored of reading pure short story collections.
