それから気分が悪くて、吐き気がします。
Reading about a young woman having nausea made me wonder if there were any pregnant women in the victims. But I don’t think I really want to know the answer or what happened to them / to the babies

武田雄介

Oh waw, quite a youngster.

Itinerary:

Was fun to have his point of view together with his mom’s.

Well that one was pretty light, looks like the kid won’t be too traumatized, he’s just happy to have gotten a bit of extra pocket money haha

中嶋克之

Didn’t write anything special for this person.
Itinerary:

医師 柳澤信夫

Pretty cool that the guy contacted every hospital and gave them tips (probably he’s the one that was mentioned in a previous interview?), and pretty lucky that it was on a day where he wasn’t working at the hospital so that he got the news early.
BUT I don’t see anyone thanking the media? Not trying to praise the media or to say that they never do anything wrong, but to me here it seems obvious that the media has been crucial that they reported and broadcasted the situation, without them, I don’t think this doctor would have had the news so far and could have helped so efficiently.

Oh wow the last sentences. Now I get why it was personal for him to help and why they wanted it in in the book. RIP :frowning:

Didn’t write anything for this section but thank you for your interest in my thoughts

We had so many 50+yo males that I totally forgot during reading that this is an interview with a young woman. Only when I read that the parents had objected to the interview, I remembered again :flushed:
Generally speaking, not much new information, but the chaotic scenes on the platform and in the train became even more vivid with her story.

武田雄介

A 15yo boy for a change! Luckily he didn’t get harmed too badly although he rode in the poisoned train car.
And, for a change, the hospital was even well-prepared and knew how to treat him! OTOH, having a deceased person lie in the corridor, together with his grieving wife, is like, uh…
The other cringe moment was when his mother hand-washed (!) his uniform… Wouldn’t have been surprised if she had suffered from poisoning symptoms afterwards.

中嶋克之

Another soldier. Makes sense, given their headquarter is next to one of the affected train stations.
Quite impressive that he got poisoning symptoms just from standing on the platform? I thought it was because he walked inside the stopped train, but maybe I misunderstood…

医師 柳澤信夫

Another very cool doctor who knew how to help and how to support the other hospitals etc. - and also another one who criticizes the Japanese medical system… Interesting that he drew parallels to the Kobe earthquake. I read similar critique in the German Wikipedia entry for it, but not in the English one. Go figure…
Also, I thought that he maybe had understood some things regarding what the medical system needs, but then his Japanese reflexes kick in, and he calls for manuals and people who can give orders in such situations. Sorry, but that’s exactly not what’s helpful here in my opinion. :weary:

Those last sentences gave me goosebumps all over. Very relatable that he wants to improve things there…

I also wondered about that
