Update: This seems to have been being caused by the “WaniKani Katakana Madness” Tampermonkey script for turning on’yomi into katakana. I’ve never had a problem with this script before, but turning it off seems to have fixed the issue.

Hi all. I’m suddenly experiencing a bug that I’m seeing for the first time. I just got to the quiz on a level 8 lesson, and the quiz was marking all of my correct answers as wrong.

is just one example. I also tried 投=throw, 役=duty, and 局=きょく, all of which were marked as incorrect.

Figuring that this might be an issue with a bad browser cache, I cleared all my browser data in Chrome and logged back in to try the lesson again. This time, whenever I get to the quiz and input an answer, the webapp spits me out of the quiz right back into the lesson.

Has anyone experienced this, or does anyone know what to do?

It appears that you entered the reading in Katakana (which, it seems, is not accepted), have you got Caps Lock on, by any chance?

I was using a Tampermonkey script that showed all on’yomi in katakana. That script seems to have been the culprit, even on English meaning answers that were being marked wrong.

Yep, that’s the one. It’s a new conflict that’s popped up in the latest version of WaniKani.
