Vocabulary examples when reviewing kanji

Personally I think that it would be immensely helpful to see which vocab the kanji are related to when reviewing especially when I get it wrong and can immediately match it with some vocab I know in my mind.

Examples are there when we learn the kanji but it takes many more clicks to go into the kanji page that I try to cross reference when I answer wrong.

Is there a reason why there is no kanji examples on the information dropdown when doing reviews?

I can think of a reason. If you are shown a vocabulary that will be reviewed just after the kanji review the advance notice is polluting the outcome of the vocabulary review.

Ah, that’s actually a very good point. I think that’s probably it.

This would only be if you click into it though right? If not and you actually want to find which vocab this kanji you got wrong is related to, it takes a very large detour to be able to find it

For example, there is a button that says “Show all information”

I don’t see how it pollutes anything by having another optional click to review vocab related to that kanji

The problem in this scenario is the user doesn’t know if it is safe to click on that link. An uninformed click is as bad as a direct display of the information.

Agree to disagree. All good, guess we can just leave this here in case anyone ever thinks it would be helpful as well and contribute their 2 cents.

This was the closest I could find when I was looking: [Userscript] WaniKani Kanji Review Vocabulary List - WaniKani / API And Third-Party Apps - WaniKani Community

Thank you for that, much appreciated! I’m glad the creator of that script saw the need in that as well
