Visual Novel Book Club

You can try using this method:

  1. Open the texthooker page on the old computer.
  2. Make sure your Copy to Clipboard extension is disabled.
  3. Open the console by pressing F12
  4. Enter this code: https://stackoverflow.com/a/54473783 (and hope that it’s not too much content to be copied that way…)
  5. Paste your clipboard content into a file.
  6. Transfer that file to the new computer.
  7. Open the texthooker page there.
  8. Open the console.
  9. Read the message that it shows - it’ll tell you what to do to allow pasting from the clipboard. (It’s different per language, so I can’t tell you here.)
  10. Do whatever it tells you to allow pasting.
  11. Paste the content of the file into the console.
  12. Reload the page.

Thank you!! This worked perfectly!

I managed to get all of my texthooker data transferred to the new browser, and my game saves appear to have all made it over intact, so I have everything I need to pick right back up where I left off!

So, forever ago, 逆転裁判 won the poll and then nothing happened because we weren’t super active anymore.
But I am starting to read it now, in case @generalteddie, @Sylph, @WeepingWeeb, or anyone else is interested in reading it together (though at our own paces), I’m willing to set up a thread for discussion

That’s so weird you said that right now cause I’m playing it in English as we speak and was just thinking man it would be nice if a group wanted to do this on the forums

Hey there! I did end up reading most of it on my own, but I left the last case unplayed so I’d love to go back to it if you get to that point in the discussion.

Would you keep playing in English or switch to Japanese you think?

Nice  I’m thinking that I can make a home thread and then a thread for each case?

Id be down for replaying at least the first game from the trilogy in Japanese, not sure about the rest yet

Okay. I was hoping that a bit more people would say that they are interested, but I think I’ll make the home thread anyway, people might get curious then
(I know they are a lot of fans of 逆転裁判 around or people who have already played them so could also be some nice discussions)

I made a thread in Campfire, because I’m not sure we can call it a Book Club? Have a look over there
I’ll make a thread for the first game and for the cases soon.

I would really like to Play Ace attorney in Japanese, but I’m not Sure If I’m ready yet. Maybe at the end of This year.

Last cross-posting place! Just popping in to gauge interest for a general japanese game club if anyone is interested
