Another strategy (instead of sorting by levels) is first doing the radicals, then kanji, then vocab – when each item type’s level is shuffled. This way you can avoid earlier level’s vocab/kanji readings from interfering too much with later level’s (ie, getting them up the srs ladder without truly knowing them).
