So, first I want to say that after changing to W10 Opera (Didn’t expect browsers still to make a big difference. Also already before the update Wanikani worked slightly different on a MacBook M1) Reorder Omega’s back2back works for me and in addition with the double-check workaround I can nearly work as before.
Nevertheless Wanikani has big problems with communication IMHO.
- I happily would have helped testing. But Updates to Lessons, Reviews, and Extra Study didn’t give me a good enough hint that it’s about changing the backend and also dangerous for user scripts.
- So a banner would have been the matter of choice to trigger more people.
- An answer like “We think about implementing some user script functionality.” is infuriating. Why not a list of features under consideration? Doing a poll? As long as there is already a user script I wouldn’t care about you even saying: Next years feature!
I want to finish with at least a change I like: Being able to work on meaning and reading notes already during the lessons.
In the end Wanikani still has some features I didn’t find with other tools and don’t regret the 200 bucks I invested some years ago.
