I wonder if that “Angery” on 冬樹’s t-shirt is a deliberate typo or a sincere typo…
In a modern day manga, it would most likely be deliberate, but this manga is from the times when sincere typos in English words were not uncommon
Reminds me of this screenshot from 名探偵コナン
where dragon, after becoming ドラゴン、turned into dorgon
Speaking of 名探偵コナン、I really should resume reading it!
The reason I sort of put it on hold was so that I could finish 蜘蛛ですが、なにか? – but I haven’t been reading much of it either… What a clumsy cat I am…
Still, having something I absolutely have to read exactly one chapter of – does help me keep my reading streak
Tobaccoless days: 678 – pretty number
In fact, let’s look at previous pretty numbers as well: 567, 456, 345… No 234 nor 123, because I only started mentioning my tobaccoless streak in this log on day 316 – which, now that I think of it, was almost a year ago
Because it’s not a regular chapter, but a shorter additional chapter, read another one as well. Usually, I only make one screenshot, but just look at this:
Spent too much time in Final Fantasy and now I’m too sleepy to read ケロロ軍曹
Then again, yesterday I’ve read two chapters – granted they were both おまけ chapters and, therefore, smaller than normal chapters, but they did have enough text that it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch to say I did double duty yesterday.
I gave it some thought and decided to abandon this system of having one manga that I have to read exactly one chapter every day.
It worked really well with Frieren, because of its meditative nature (or so I thought) and because the language was mostly not hard and the chapters were short (so short, in fact, that in the anime each episode covers not one, but two chapters).
However, ケロロ軍曹 has chapters that are both much longer (except for おまけ chapters which are usually the opposite and too short) and use a harder language. While it is a very nyaaaaaaaaice and fun manga and I have no intention of dropping it, I now realize that it’s not the kind of manga I could read every day. I guess, skipping it a few days ago made me realize this. Also, this way it would last longer.
Besides, while consistency and uniformity certainly have a lot of advantages, so does diversity. I want to make my study log more diverse. I think it would be more interesting both for me and for anyone reading this if my daily screenshots don’t have to always come from the same source, just like it used to be originally
Today’s one is from 蜘蛛ですが、なにか?(I’ve made sure to make it as spoilerless as possible)
