On the one hand Only 5 kanji are stopping from getting to the next level. Kanji from this level’s radicals.
On the other hand, I don’t have to see that huge number of lessons just yet lol.

Let’s update the whole thing!
First, morning 100 reviews.

Managed to get the Guru stuff to around 900 items. This kinda works with my theory that it reached around 1000 because the previous levels had more items per level than average. There’s also the fact the it pools most things. Correct apprentice items goes to guru, so does failed master and enlightened items. (btw aren’t you supposed to lose 1 level per mistake?)
Feels good to have it around 900 again. It’s been my goal for a while.

Lost an hour. I was helping someone out and completely forgot about it until it was too late.
Well… I don’t feel too bad about it. It’s my longest streak, but it did happen before. And it’s not like it matters much. But, well, this is my chance to post this page from Berserk and I will not miss the chance.

How ironic is it that the one kanji I made a mistake on and is the sole remaining non-guru’ed is stagnate?
I swear this whole program is so hilarious with its timing sometimes, that it adds up to my already high doubt of “coincidence”.

Morning reviews:
While doing reviews it’s always the mistakes that stand up to me. It’s to the point that I get surprised to see that they make up a lot less than I what expect.

Or so it would seem lol. I expect this upcoming month to be more work than I’m used to. Especially so with entering the fast levels, so more items in less time.
But, well. I still plan to go at full speed if I can.
Today too, I’ll become a human torch, and give full rein to this suffering.
Onto the stats.
Apprentice is at an amazing number lol. It all depend on my accuracy from now on. Master is where I want it to right now, and burned is quite good too.
The level up time oscillated a lot in the past month. I lost about 6 hours this week too, so it’ll not recover yet.
Honestly thought my accuracy would have been shot by now, so not bad lol. Guess it’s all thanks to the huge number of reviews that a few weeks don’t affect it much.
Welp, that’s all for now. Onto more work.

Apprentice count is starting to look a lot better!
Question: Is there really a difference in meaning in all the kanji that basically mean “see”? There’s a lot with meanings like: oversee, look for, look to, view, see, and other such synonyms. It’s kinda the same for all the vocab that mean “admission fee” but in different kanji.

Reading other people’s study log is always such a humbling experience lol. I’m amazed about how much thought they put behind studying, the different strategies, resources and history behind it all. Even before beginning Wanikani.
All I did was think it’s about time I study Kanji since I’ve thought about it for so long. Looked up apps and whatever, then decided not to get stuck in this stage instead of actually learning. My tipping point was that 1yr subscription was less than 1 month gym subscription lol.
This whole topic starting as one thing and abruptly turning into a study log, drives the point home even more, lol.

2nd wave
lately I’ve been watching a lot of Dungeon Chill stuff. Great stuff! He does a lot of videos about old almost forgotten games and goes into a LOT of details. Like additional material not included in the game, history, nuance. A lot of them are Japanese games too and he comments a little about the language and translation.
2 days until level up! Lost about 2 hours this week. Sleep is overpowering me a lot lately, should buckle up for the fast levels.

And to think all it took was to delay lessons to fool myself lol.
Accuracy has been pretty good lately. I feel.
As for the fast levels I feel like it’s really going to hit with the next level lol. I’ll have 30 Kanji vocab+ lv44 vocab+ lv44 kanji+ radicals. Right now is just the preload lol. It’s funny, however, that the priority for these flips with the fast levels. Now I have to do Kanji>Radical>Vocab, instead of Radical>Kanji>Vocab.
