The quick or short Language Questions Thread (not grammar)

If you have any (preferably native) content you use for listening practice, you could try mimicking that, and seeing how that content is paced. You don’t even really have to understand what’s being said, just see what tempo and rhythm native speakers use, where they pause, that sort of thing. You’ll quickly see that, like @WeebPotato said, there are natural places to pause within a sentence, such as after pretty much every particle.

If you don’t have any native content you listen to, I highly recommend looking for some. If there’s something you’re interested in I’m sure there are many here who could give some recommendations. I’ve previously given some in a different thread, but as will be completely unsurprising to anyone who’s known me for more than five minutes, it’s all VTubers so if you’re not interested in that, it’s going to be of limited use to you :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: The thread overall could contain some interesting suggestions though.
